She’s a wild one

I have two fun looks today linked by two threads, first of all both outfits are an incredible rich deep royal colour that responded to lighting so well, just like real fabrics such as leather would. First up a cute romper from Ricielli which you can pick up for a bargain price at the newest round of TDR Fusion.

My second outfit is a gown from Precious Designs, the Karissa gown has a cute yellow mini dress visible peeking out from under the fuller gown overlay. This gown part is changeable by hud with 5 colour choices, I selected a bold blue and enjoyed the shine factor, I will admit I did mess with the windlight a little to emphasize the shine but not excessively so as I have done no editting to these pictures other than a simple crop.

Earthbound

Earthstones is a well established store, I remember visiting it when I was just starting in SL and being impressed with the natural beauty captured in the stones used. What I hadn’t realised is just how big that store is! There is a hunt being held on the Earthbound sim, includes stores, grounds, but not the sky or cove. 30 small sacks, some male-blue, female-orange , unisex-green, each ranges in price from 0-99L. Now you might think great a nice simple hunt .. not at all, I found about a third of the total before giving up. The value far exceeds the price you pay but here’s the trick to these treats.. you don’t know what is in the sack until you unpack it. I must admit I ended up with one thing I know I will not wear due to my own personal taste ( I don’t like nose rings.. I can’t look at one without thinking of the bulls and pigs on the farm with similar adornments hehe). But otherwise I am very pleased with my treats. Oh so juicy and sweet

Sometimes you come across something that just clicks with you..well I know I do. Sometimes I know exactly how I will wear and style an item as soon as I see it. Other times I just see it and want it.. knowing sooner or later it will be just the thing I am looking for. The t-shirt I picked up a Fi*Friday.. there were several other “brands” on the shirt but I couldn’t resist this one.

The fantastic asymmetrical shorts are at the just opened round of TDR Fusion as is the skin. I don’t usually pick up skin blue eye makeup but it really works with this skin.  The pose prop is an old one from my inventory which I gave an update with  re-texturing courtesy of a vibrant teal from the Grungy walls collection at KaTink.  I am loving the variety of shoes available for wearing with slink mesh feet, this great pair are from Hucci. I was fortunate enough to receive them as a complimentary gift for responding to a notecard sent out about the new wishlist system. I had read about it earlier on Strawberry Singh’s blog so was excited to give it a try, it really is easy and if a lot of stores come  “on board” it will make gift shopping for friends a lot easier this Christmas.

Shake a tail feather

The weekend brought me the opportunity to get a bit of shopping and time to get some  photos captured including the next image for the SL Disney Bounding Challenge.. Zazu. That rather officious bird from The Lion King, bold blue, crisp white and bright yellow/gold was the combo. Who Sire, me Sire?

I want to make special mention of TDR Fusion, it’s one of the many sales rooms I enjoy dropping into regularly. One of the constant contributors is Al vulo who , this round, offers up three different shades of this lovely skin. I chose to buy two different shades because now here’s the thing – they’re only 70L each! Look at the Charming things I found at Ricielli

 

Ricielli is a store to keep returning to not just because they have such an interesting range of clothing, skins, makeups, accessories BUT also because of the special events. At the moment there is a mini hunt called the Charming hunt, a great name and great items to reward you.
The items aren’t free but at 15L they might as well be, especially since they are ” hidden in plain view”… just look for the cupcakes scattered around the mesh clothing area ..and buy as many as you like.
